Terms and Conditions
General Information
Deliveries
It is recommended to ring and check transport costs prior to order or quotation.
Carriage charges are at cost, parcel delivery prices start from £20.00 and increase with weight and volume. Pallet delivery prices start from £70.00 per pallet, dependent on location – offshore pallets P.O.A.
We deliver using our own transport where possible and cost effective and will ensure goods arrive in perfect condition, however if external carriers are used it is important to check all deliveries for damage or discrepancies in numbers prior to signing.
Once signed for clean, we cannot claim on insurance and it is unfair to expect Planterworld to accept liability
Terms and conditions
The following “Terms & Conditions” shall apply to all products supplied by Planterworld (hereinafter known as “the Company”) whether manufactured or wholesale goods.
Prices
All prices in our Trade Price List are correct at time of going to press but the Company reserves the right to alter prices without prior notice.
All prices are subject to Value Added Tax.
Credit
All new customers are required to pay in full upon ordering until they have built up a trading history. The Company will open a credit account upon satisfactory completed Account form, a successful credit check and an agreed Credit Limit will be set.
Payment Terms are on a 30 day basis, the Company reserves the right to apply Credit Surcharges to Invoices and charge interest on overdue accounts as outlined in ‘The Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 2002’. This equates to 8% over Base Rate, Admin Charges also apply. Late payments will have an adverse effect on future credit terms!
Title of Goods
Title to all goods supplied by the Company shall remain with the Company until payment has been made in full (including
any VAT where applicable).
The Company reserves the right to recover such goods from the customer or from whomsoever is holding the goods until full payment has been received. If the goods are used prior to payment then any damages sustained thereafter to the goods or third party property will not be covered by Company insurances or warranties.
Watertight Planters
Although some of the Planters supplied by the Company are manufactured to be watertight, the Company cannot guarantee the product will be and remain watertight in situ.
The Company will not be held responsible for damage to third party property due to leaking planters or liners and strongly recommends a water test prior to use. Nor will the Company be held responsible for plants or trees that perish due to lack
of water.
The Company will FOC, repair or replace new planters or liners that are found to be inadequately watertight but these must not have been installed.
Drainage Holes
If planters purchased are going to be used outside we recommend that they have drainage holes. We are happy to do this for you, however this must be requested at the time of purchase. We will not be liable for any subsequent damage caused by water over loading.
Goods in Transit
Notification of all damaged and/or missing goods must be received in writing (Email or Fax) by the Company within 24hours from receipt of the goods. The Company will not be held responsible for any circumstantial or consequential loss due to damaged goods or late deliveries.
Warranties
Whilst the Company will be fair and reasonable and all products are supplied in good faith and believed to be suitable for their intended use, no conditions or warranties are made or implied as to the quality or life expectancy of the products beyond a 12 month period. This applies to plastic, metal and timber planters, all seating and softwood products.
However, all our GRP planters are guaranteed for 10 years and will be replaced or repaired if they fail. This does not cover uv fading, scratches or damage caused by vandalism.
Samples
All samples will be invoiced on a ‘Sale Or Return’ basis and once returned in good condition a credit note will be issued.
